"We love to embrace the culture of hip-hop, and the fact that people come to show love and enjoy the performances is a big part of its appeal," he said. "It's all good vibes, and it's a privilege to share energy with other human beings. That's what we do at Fingerprint through hip-hop."
The festival featured a range of activities, including dance battles, professional dancer showcases, youth performances, vendors, live DJ entertainment, and community activities. Curry took a moment to shine a light on the dancers who visited Paducah, highlighting the regional and national talent that came together for the event. "Despite living in the Midwest, we often forget our place in the larger world," he noted. "But the turnout was fantastic, and it's great to see the community come out and support the event. Energy always comes back, and community support is crucial."
Fingerprint Fest Vol. 5 also had a community impact mission, supporting the One Heart Foundation, a local nonprofit founded by Christina Mangrum-Thomas.
