A tragic fire in Spain claimed five lives, with at least five more people injured.
The blaze tore through a five-story building in Manlleu, in the northeast, on Monday night. Emergency services report that the fire began in the property’s storage room.
The exact cause remains unknown, and authorities say the victims, who have not yet been identified, could not escape from an attic storage area.
Catalan police confirmed that the five deceased were all young and did not reside in the building.

Emergency responders provided ambulances and psychological support to those affected.
Among the injured, four recovered and were released from hospital care, while one person did not require hospitalization.
Three families have been relocated to a nearby hotel, with the remaining residents returning to the building as conditions allowed.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection in Catalonia announced that the related alert has now ended.
Authorities have opened an official investigation to determine the fire’s cause.
